Mustafa Yanaz is a New York-based hairstylist widely known for creating intricate and conceptual designs infused with narrative elements of old-world heritage, modern style and surrealist fantasy. Mustafa is Turkish and was raised in Germany, where he became inspired by observing his mother’s work as a hairdresser. It was during this time that he conceived of a distinct and imaginative artistic vision complemented by the extraordinary technical skill for which he is known today. A former education trainer at Toni & Guy and a Training Ambassador at Schwarzkopf in Europe, Yanaz has worked on a variety of commercial and editorial projects, most recently with photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, Craig McDean, Walter Pfeiffer and Willy Vanderperre. Yanaz was recognized as German Hairdresser of the Year consecutively between 2013 - 2015.
